What Your Donation Makes Possible
For LinkEducation to effectively serve as a hub for thousands of educators, professionals, and teachers, we must continue to improve its functionality and expand our programming online and in person. Your support, along with others like you, makes this all possible.

Your contribution to LinkEducation this year will enable us to:
- Maintain the new website and solicit feedback from users (you!) to continue with improvements
- Reach out to thousands of education nonprofits, schools, and parents to bring them into our growing network and ultimately reach more of our city's youth
- Grow the infrastructure of our organization so that we can serve the education sector and the children for years to come
Some specific projects we are launching over the 2008 - 2009 school year include:
- Education Expo: The LinkEducation Expo, co-hosted with the Department of Education's Office of Family Engagement and Advocacy, brings together a wide variety of programs and resources found online to a central venue where parents, educators, and education leaders can come find education opportunities in person. The Education Expo will give people the opportunity to connect with programs in their community and the surrounding buroughs to make sure their students have access to the best education opportunities this school year and beyond. (The first Expo is held on September 27, 2008. Click here for details)
- Special Interest Areas: While broadening our reach within the community, LinkEducation will also enrich the content of the website by focusing on building Special Interest Guides for targeted areas of need. Over the last few months we have found that while it is great to have access to the abundance of resources, it is difficult to navigate the education system, particularly in the areas of: Special Education, Gifted and Talented, Math/Science, and the Arts. If you have a suggestion for a Special Interest Guide, please let us know!
- Collect Metrics: LinkEducation is a resource for you - the community. As such, it is essential that we collect feedback from our key constituencies. This project to collect metrics will include a survey to the LinkEducation community as well as needed improvements to the website allowing our members to provide feedback on a regular basis in the most efficient manner possible.
