10:00am: The Impact of Involvement

Jump start the day with a lively discussion about how you - as parents, principals, teachers, students and the broader community - can impact our city's schools. The discussion is moderated by NYU Wagner Educational Policy Studies Association (WEPSA).

  • DREAM Charter School is located in East Harlem. For the 2009-10 school year, DREAM will be serving students in grades K-3 and is currently seeking students and teachers.

  • Harlem RBI is a community-based youth development organization serving over 700 youth in East Harlem. We are currently enrolling East Harlem youth for our summer programs and seeking several f/t employees and summer teachers and college students.
  • HEAF is a year round college preparation, academic enrichment and youth development organization, serving students from 6th grade through 12th grade and beyond. We work with middle and high school students.
