In collaboration with the Wagner Economic and Finance Association (WEFA), the Wagner Education Policy Studies Association (WEPSA) presents this panel discussion to explore how traditional public schools and charter schools attract and retain top talent in the classroom. Panelists will discuss the role of merit pay, alternative certification, lowering barriers to entry, improved training, teacher accountability and other education reforms. Moderated by Professor Amy Ellen Schwartz. Panelists will include: Kim Marshall of the Marshall Memo; David Malbin partner, Teacher Quality Innovations Group, The New Teacher Projectt; and Sara Coon, director of evaluation and organization development at Achievement First. | ||
