How We Work
Our Success is in Our Simplicity
LinkEducation.org exists to make information available to the education sector. How does this work?
For Organizations: When an organization creates a free profile on LinkEducation.org, they make their vital details public and searchable. All information including mission, services, locations, contact information, and fees. All visitors to the site, members and nonmembers, have access to our user-friendly searchable database.
SUCCESS #1: One Big Community
Dear LinkEd team, I wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the work you are doing. Your mission is so simple and so smart. You are bringing interesting people together who are passionate about education. You are like angel people to us. My colleague Nicole and I had a great time last night [at the LinkEducation Networking Event for education organizations]. We met lots of people with interesting perspectives and good jobs. Mostly, we felt connected to a larger community. The Story Pirates absolutely adore you and we're grateful to be included in your world.
For Individuals: When an individual creates a free profile on LinkEducation.org, they can find job opportunities, connect with other people interested in the same field, search organizational resources to help their school or classroom, and discover ways to make their, or their children's, educational experience more successful.
SUCCESS #2: Charter a School
A woman new to the NYC education sector, but deeply passionate about our children's education told us "I am starting a Charter School in New York City, but have never worked in the education field before. I user your news feed everyday to keep up with all of the education and charter school news. I also found an organization called Civic Builders who help Charter Schools find school buildings on your site. Hopefully they will find us space for our school. LinkEducation has really helped me enter this new world of the education sector that is extremely hard to navigate. Thank you!"
For Schools: When a school posts a free profile on LinkEducation.org, they can make volunteer and job opportunities available, post information about school programs, school needs, and information for their local community.
SUCCESS #3: Build a Playground
KaBOOM!, an organization that builds free playgrounds for public schools, received funding to build a playground specifically in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Seeing as their offices are in Washington, D.C., they had no idea where to start! So, naturally, they turned to LinkEducation, the go-to place for the NYC education sector, and did some quick research. "I contacted Achievement First as well as a number of other organizations I found on the site. Your site was SO helpful in expanding my contact list! I hope we can work something out to get more KaBOOM! builds in NYC."
